From Naples to Canada
Pizzaiolo began with a simple dream: to bring the authentic taste of Neapolitan pizza to Canada. Our founder, Antonio Rossi, grew up in Naples, Italy, where pizza isn't just food—it's a cultural heritage.
After training under master pizzaiolos in Naples and earning his certification from the Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana, Antonio moved to Canada in 2003. He was surprised to find that authentic Italian pizza was hard to come by in his new home.
In 2005, with a wood-fired oven imported directly from Naples and recipes passed down through generations, Antonio opened the first Pizzaiolo location. His mission was clear: no compromises on quality or authenticity.
What started as a small pizzeria has grown into a beloved Canadian institution, with locations across the country. Despite our growth, we remain committed to our founding principles: using the finest ingredients, respecting traditional methods, and creating an exceptional dining experience for every guest.
